I guess I’ll post a larger version of this thing from the art camp blog. Experimenting with lighting a figure entirely through reflected and secondary light sources.
YET ANOTHER PIECE IT MUST BE CHRISTMAS
Reblargin from camp. It probably wont be this spammy every week, but since the assignment was “draw anything whatever”, I thought I might forward the notables.
One of the composition assignments for this week using some of the composition/color stuff we learned from our studies last week, with the dual purpose of getting a chance to draw a character I’m making for an upcoming DnD campagin.
A little more polished than I think we were supposed to go, but drawing rippling Goliath muscles and and werewolf gibs put me into a trance.
I decided to enroll in Noah’s Art Camp and start a sideblog for it. I’ve been having some trouble getting motivated to do art since the last company I worked for sort of collapsed, so I figured making a minor investment might force me to have some semblance of work ethic again.
It started a week ago and it’s been kind of an awesome experience so far? I’m still way behind on my courseload, but I can already tell I’ll be learning a lot through this course that I probably wouldn’t have had I kept doing the strictly self-taught method. It’s also much cheaper than I would have paid to do something similar through Schoolism.
@guyfuglythat cat. WORTH IT. Can you draw him in a randomly kinda floaty anime pose???? I want to make it obnoxiously colored.

If you can even deal with the fact that my scanner is the most artifacting piece of shit

Do you ever get an idea that strikes at 4am and you can’t go to bed until you put it on paper?
Mine was Tall and Also Smart Cat
I did that thing where I get bored and have to draw a cartoon with realistic textures and proportions because it’s very clever.
This time it’s Lina’s character Jeremy “Frog Lad” Moore, who is a lot more vivid and animated of a character than I’m really doing justice here.
